Sankardev College today launched its certificate and skill based courses for students.
The courses which the college would offer include, learning German, the syllabus and examination of which will be certified by the Goethe Institute, Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkatta, Manufacture and marketing of indigenous food being sponsored by RUSA and Meghalaya and Advanced Diploma on Computer Application, sponsored by the Shillong Centre of NIELIT, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India.
Principal of the college, Dr Eureka F P Lyngdoh graced the occasion as chief guest and was attended by faculty members, students who have enrolled for the courses and the resource persons, Santanu Borgohain, Scientist D and Centre in Charge, NIELIT, Shillong, Vidya Vibha, NIELIT, Shillong, Emma C Lyngdoh and Sonia L Hujon who will be teaching the German Course and Pynbhalang Mylliem Umlong who will train students on the Manufacture and Marketing of Indigenous Food.
The Program was organised by the Career Counselling and Placement Cell of the College.
