A truck driver was killed and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision between two trucks at Pamphyrnai along National Highway-44 E in West Khasi Hills today morning.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 7:30 am.
The deceased has been identified as Stephen Sun of Kshekohmoit, Mairang who was driving the four-wheel truck.
The injured was identified as Lamkupar Kharsyiemiong, the driver of a 12-wheeler and who hails from Mawkroh, Nongspung.
Other occupants who were injured included Wellipson Kharsyiemiong, Wanpynshngain Kharsyiemiong, Sisar Kharlait and Samdajingshai Kharsyntiew.
