A new socio-political group has emerged in Meghalaya. The Hynñiewtrep Achik People’s Democratic Alliance (HAPDA) is led by V Wanniang as president.
The working presidents are Pyndap Saibon, sitting MLA Saleng Sangma and former MLA Billy Kid Sangma former JHADC Chief Executive Member Lamdibok Sumer and Balios Swer. There are nine general secretaries of HAPDA and include James Ban Basaiawmoit, a former MDC of KHADC.
