There will be no public mass at the Catholic cemetery in Laitumkhrah, with visits also prohibited on that day due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the government’s ban on large gatherings, it was announced today by Barnabas Nongbah, General Secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council.
Personal visits to the cemetery will be permitted from October 14 to November 1 between 7am and 4pm, but not on All Souls’ Day itself.
“During visits to the cemetery, the public are advised to wear masks and maintain social distancing. Facilities for hand washing are available at the cemetery,” Nongbah said through a press release.
