Shillong, Nov 4: The Laitumkhrah Dorbar Shnong Pyllun has announced that vending will not be allowed on footpaths and roadsides in Laitumkhrah on November 8 in view of the grand procession of the Catholic Church.
The dorbar said the restriction has been imposed to avoid obstruction to the movement of the public and vehicles during the procession.
It also appealed vendors to cooperate and to refrain from setting up stalls along footpaths and roadsides on the day.
