Editor,
Today, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, it is a great opportunity for us to pay homage to this great leader, who sacrificed his life for the betterment of the country.
Mahatma Gandhi was a great leader of India’s fight for freedom. He was a law graduate and was the biggest follower of Jainism. Between 1888 and 1891, he stayed in London and promised himself to be a vegetarian. Later, he joined the executive committee of the London Vegetarian Committee and then began reading a variety of holy books to gain knowledge on cross-religions.
On this Gandhi Jayanti, let us therefore remember the teachings of this great leader and strive for peace, unity, and truth in our lives. May Gandhi’s legacy inspires us to create a better world for all.
