Shillong, Sep 28: In a proud moment for Meghalaya, two police personnel won double gold at the 75th All India Police Wrestling Cluster Championship (Arm Wrestling).
The championship was held at the Haryana Police Academy from September 23 to 27, with 37 police teams from across the country taking part.
Wandalin Syiemiong took gold for Meghalaya in the 60kg women’s category, while Alan Sun Marbaniang was first in the 90kg men’s division as well as the Overall Champion of Champions and All India Strongest Man.
“Both have won gold at this championship before and their strength and dedication continue to make the force proud,” police said in a release.
