Shillong, Sep 15: Citizens and organisations have been invited to submit representations to the fact-finding committee probing the setting up of Shree Cement Company in East Jaintia Hills.
Inputs must reach Room No. 320, Meghalaya Secretariat or megfactfindingcommittee@gmail.com by September 29. Those wanting to depose in person can do so on dates to be notified, a public notice issued by Commissioner & Secretary Cyril VD Diengdoh, who also heads the panel, said.
The fact-finding committee notified on September 8, will inquire into the disruption of the July 31 public hearing called by the Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board, and the environmental, social, legal and criminal impact of the project.
