Shillong, Sep 10: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma today inaugurated the Block Integrated Development Complex of Rongara C&RD Block in South Garo Hills District in the presence of Siju-Rongara MLA Rakkam A. Sangma.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister lauded the MLA for his hard work and commitment towards the people of his constituency.
“This new block building is a direct result of the MLA’s sincere efforts and vision for the better development of the area,” the Chief Minister said.
He urged the C&RD Block officials to serve the people with utmost sincerity and dedication.
“In rural areas, people visit the block office with hope that their grievances will be resolved. The staff should always give a patient hearing and understand their concerns and resolve it,” he said.
He informed that in the last three years, the government has taken up major infrastructure upgradation across the state, and all 56 C&RD Blocks in Meghalaya have either been fully renovated or provided with new buildings to ensure better service delivery and improved working environment for both officials and the public.
He also reiterated the government’s commitment to bring administration closer to the people and to accelerate overall development, especially in the rural and border areas of the state.
