Shillong, Aug 11: The Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS), in collaboration with the Directorate of Employment & Craftsmen Training (DECT), is organising a state-wide recruitment drive to connect young job seekers with over 10,000 employment opportunities in India and abroad.
As part of the initiative, the drive in East Jaintia Hills District will be held at ITI Khliehriat campus on August 18, Latyrke Community Hall on August 19, and at Lumshnong Community Hall on August 21, covering all three blocks of the district.
The drive will enable eligible youth to meet participating employers, take part in recruitment and screening processes, and explore different career options. Apart from regular employment, opportunities for apprenticeships and internships will also be provided to help young people gain practical experience and industry-relevant skills.
Officials said the initiative is aimed at benefiting youth who have limited access to employers from outside the state, by allowing them to directly interact with recruiters and understand job requirements.
Eligible candidates across East Jaintia Hills have been encouraged to participate in the recruitment and screening process.
