      Editor,

I wish to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the unfortunate NEET paper leak, which has shaken the confidence of lakhs of hardworking students and their families.

Such incidents not only affect deserving candidates but also damage the credibility of the country’s examination system.

Competitive examinations should be conducted with complete fairness and transparency. Any leakage of question papers creates anxiety, confusion, and distrust among students who prepare sincerely for years. Strict action must be taken against those responsible for such crimes.

The new Education Minister should introduce stronger security measures to ensure that such incidents never occur again. Question papers should be encrypted and transmitted through secure digital systems. The printing and distribution process must be closely monitored using advanced technology and CCTV surveillance. Background verification of officials involved in the examination process should be mandatory, and severe punishment should be given to anyone found guilty of malpractice. Independent monitoring committees and regular security audits should also be introduced to strengthen the examination system.

I hope the concerned authorities will take immediate and effective steps to restore students’ faith in the examination process and ensure that merit alone determines success.

      Jubel D’Cruz,

      Mumbai
