Shillong, Jul 30: Meghalaya’s Wanshwadame Diengdoh is part of the Bodoland FC squad that will take part in Group F of the Durand Cup 2026.
Bodoland will play their first match against defending champions NorthEast United FC on August 1. All the Group F matches will take place at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati.
The other clubs in the group are Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC and FC1, the latter being from Jammu & Kashmir.
Wanshwadame has joined Bodoland from Garhwal FC, with whom he won the Delhi Premier League in May. He had also been an instrumental part of the Langsning team that won the Shillong Premier League 2025.
Bodoland FC were recently in Shillong for a friendly against Shillong Lajong FC, who are in Group E of the Durand Cup.
Following the conclusion of the league stage, the six group winners and the two best second-placed teams will advance to the knockout phase. The quarterfinals will commence on August 16 with the first match in Ranchi and the second in Kolkata, before the remaining two QFs are played on August 17 in Kolkata and Shillong.
