Shillong, Jun 30: The Jaiñtia Students Movement (JSM) has taken serious note of the ongoing dispute between the East Jaintia District Cricket Association (EJDCA) and Ladrymbai B Sports Club regarding the District League 2026.

Last week Ladrymbai B claimed that Dein Chynrum CC had fielded three ineligible players in their semifinal match but the EJDCA took no action.

“We are deeply concerned that if this conflict continues, it will only lead to failure, loss of hope and disappointment for the cricketing community of East Jaintia Hills,” the JSM said in a release today. “It is painful to see clubs and the association fighting each other in public when the focus should be on building the future of our youth.”

Seeking a resolution, the pressure group urged the EJDCA to initiate dialogue and “find a fair, transparent solution”. It also asked Ladrymbai B to remain open to dialogue and offered itself as a facilitator.

“If this matter is not closed, the cricket arena in East Jaintia Hills will be destroyed. Our youth will lose interest, clubs will lose trust, and the hard work of players will go to waste. We cannot afford to kill the dreams of our young cricketers,” the JSM added.
