Shillong, Jun 4: The NCC cadets of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Umroi Cantonment brought laurels to their institution by displaying remarkable talent at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-53), held recently at the 58 Gorkha Training Centre in Happy Valley.
The event saw participation from 647 NCC cadets across various institutions.
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya had sent 20 cadets, including nine from the Junior Division and 11 from the Junior Wing to participate in the event.
Cadet Anisha Pathak won a gold medal in debate and a bronze medal in the quiz competition. Cadet Gyanankur Kashyap earned a silver medal for his second position in the quiz and a bronze in the drill competition. Additionally, Cadet Ankita Kumari secured a silver medal in the essay writing contest.
The school has congratulated all the participating cadets and said their achievements stand as a testament to the spirit of discipline, teamwork, and leadership fostered through NCC training.
