Shillong, May 19: Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai, Shillong, celebrated the Golden Jubilee of its reopening (1976–2026) with a two-day programme under the theme, “Shepherds in the Making… Shaped by His Heart – Expressions of Mission: A Mosaic.”
The celebration featured dramas, dances, instrumental performances, talks, and visual presentations by the Brothers and Sisters of the College, highlighting the mission of forming shepherds after the Heart of Jesus.
Priests, religious, and formees participated in this day of gratitude and appreciation for the faithful service rendered by those involved in priestly and religious formation.
The celebration also focused on youth and lay collaborators. Rev. Fr. Edmund Gomes SDB, former Rector of the College, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
