Shillong, May 16: The Additional Deputy Commissioner Pynursla sub-division has informed that a section of the Shillong-Dawki road, particularly the affected stretch front Laitlyngkot-Lyngkyrdem, will be closed for all vehicular movement.
The closure will be effective from 7 am of May 17 to 7 am of May 20.
The decision to close this road has been taken in the interest of public safety due to necessary construction activities and necessary for carrying out required construction activities, which include the movement of heavy machinery, excavation, and other related work, the notice said.
During this period, all commuters have been urged to cooperate and utilise alternative routes through Pynursla-Dawki-Amlarem route and the Pynursla-Nongjri-Sohra road.
