Shillong, Apr 12: Officers from Ampati Police Station took to the pulpit to spread the word on safe driving practices at an awareness programme held at Ampati Baptist Church today.
The event aimed to educate the public on responsible driving and traffic regulations under the Motor Vehicles Act.
The program delved into crucial aspects of the act, stressing on the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts, the dangers of drunk driving and the need to adhere to traffic rules to prevent accidents. Police officials drove home the point that community participation is key to ensuring road safety.
