Shillong, Apr 5: Reports of truck seizures, unloading of materials and burning of coke have led to insecurity among truck drivers and owners in South West Khasi Hills.
Skingford Nongbri, president of the South West Khasi Hills Truck Owners & Driver Association, expressed concern over the incidents, citing a lack of understanding between his association and the Meghalaya Commercial Truck Owners and Drivers Association (MCTODA) as the cause of unrest.
Nongbri clarified that the South West Khasi Hills association is not involved in the hindrance caused by MCTODA. He alleged that drivers from his association have faced threats from MCTODA on multiple occasions.
