Shillong, Mar 31: The Meghalaya Swimming Association today felicitated its swimmers who represented the state and brought home medals from regional and national competitions.
The two medallists are Pdiangsuklang Syngwan and Verem Gedaliah Nongsiej.
Pdiangsuklang took bronze in the East Zone ASMITA Women Swimming League in Guwahati, while Verem also bagged a bronze in the 1st Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 in Chhattisgarh. Both swimmers participated in the 50m freestyle events of their respective competitions.
The other swimmers who represented the state at the two tournaments were also felicitated, along with their coaches and managers. These were Gail Darlene Syiem, Sumarbiang Mawlong, Ilarisuk Youroi, Tvsha Jalewa and Eugenea Sumer in Guwahati and Nazareen Pariong, Em-i-rta Ksoo, Meiaipynsan L Tron, Mebankitboklang Banai, Jenifer Rymbai, Banpynshgain Syngwan and Elberz Winston Kharbani in Chhattisgarh.
