Shillong, Mar 2: The Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress today held a signature campaign in Shillong City to express deep concern over the alleged involvement of certain Indian parliamentarians in the Epstein files.
Mahila Congress members, women leaders, and concerned citizens of Meghalaya came forward to sign in solidarity, demanding transparency and accountability.
“The revelations surrounding the Epstein files have raised serious questions, and if any Indian parliamentarians are found to be involved, it would be a matter of great shame for the country and a betrayal of public trust,” Mahila Congress president Joplyn Scott Shylla said.
She said those holding constitutional positions must uphold the highest standards of integrity and morality as entrusted by the people to safeguard the nation’s dignity. Any association with such serious international controversies damages India’s image globally, she added.
Shylla said the signature campaign has sent a clear message that the people of Meghalaya stand for justice, truth, and accountability and urged the concerned authorities to conduct a fair and transparent investigation and ensure that the truth comes out.
