Shillong, Feb 27: A delegation of 11 trainee officers of the Indian Administrative Service and 21 of the Indian Information Service (Group A) today called on Meghalaya Governor Chandrashekhar H Vijayashankar at the Lok Bhavan.
The interaction provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions on governance, effective public service delivery, and the developmental priorities of the State.
The Governor emphasised the pivotal role of officers in ensuring transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric administration. He encouraged the officers to work with dedication, integrity, and sensitivity towards the needs of the people.
Highlighting Meghalaya’s unique socio-cultural landscape and development aspirations, the Governor underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between the administration and various stakeholders to achieve inclusive growth and sustainable progress.
