Shillong, Feb 4: The East Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner (Election), RP Marak, handed over the draft electoral rolls for three Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) segments – 27 Samandagre, 28 Darugre and 29 Williamnagar – to Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and representatives of political parties today.
The draft electoral rolls have January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date. There are 131 polling stations across the three GHADC constituencies. The last date for filing claims and objections is February 18, disposal of claims and objections is on March 2 and the final publication of electoral rolls is on March 6.
