Shillong, Jan 31: A peace meeting was held at the Betasing Farmers’ Market in South West Garo Hills district to address communal disharmony that led to the cancellation of the weekly bazar.
The meeting, convened by the Betasing Market Committee, aimed to restore peace and normalcy.
Project Director R. Z. D. Shira, NGO leaders, and locals attended, discussing the situation and emphasising communal harmony.
Attendees appealed for calm and cooperation to ensure peaceful coexistence.
