Shillong, Jan 20: The business advisory committee of the Meghalaya Assembly has been reconstituted ahead of the next session.
The committee will continue to be led by the Speaker, Thomas A Sangma, as Chairman. Also included are Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong, who is in charge of Parliamentary Affairs, Leader of the Opposition Dr Mukul Sangma and Opposition Chief Whip Charles Pyngrope. The only change is the inclusion of Paul Lyngdoh in place of cabinet minister Lahkmen Rymbui.
The committee sets the Assembly’s schedule, deciding the time allocation for government and private members’ business and finalises dates, duration and opening times for sessions.
