Shillong, Jan 17: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said that the cabinet retreat is a great way to share vision, ideas and work together as a team towards the long term goal of the state.
Speaking at the end of the two-day cabinet retreat, held at Mawkasiang, Sangma said that while the government has the opportunities, what it has to give back to the society while going towards the target of Rs. $ 10 billion economy.
The Chief Minister said that on Friday, the cabinet discussed, in trying to reach its target the government will ensure power supply, housing, clean drinking water for all, there is a caring economy and a proper service delivery mechanism.
He said that in this particular cabinet retreat, the government is aligning vision with the ten commitments and the ten opportunities the government has laid down in the vision 2028 and 2032.
Sangma said that during the cabinet retreat he realized that departments need to interact with each other.
“This cabinet retreat is to align the thought process, actions and outcomes of different departments,” the Chief Minister said.
