Shillong, Jan 2: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Meghalaya State Branch extended its support to the victims of the Mawlai Nonglum fire incident.
The community came together to provide relief items to two families affected by the tragic event.
IRCS Chairman Laborious Manik S Syiem, General Secretary Andrew Nelson Sawian, Rangbah Shnong and Rangbah Dong, Staff of IRCS were present to extend the support on December 23.
The two families suffered immense loss when a devastating fire broke out on December 22, 2025. The house was owned by Ibadalin Rangslang and was occupied by two families on rent—one headed by Kyntiewriti Sawkmie, comprising seven members, and the other by Buetilin Sawkmie, who lives with her child.
