Shillong, Dec 19: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced fresh admissions for the January, 2026 session in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online modes.
The admission process began on December 16, 2025 through the Samarth Portal. The last date for submission of applications is January 31, 2026.
In addition, Re-registration for the January 2026 session for all ODL and Online programmes is in progress since December 1, 2025. Learners are advised to complete their re-registration on or before January 15, 2026.
Prospective learners and existing students are encouraged to visit the IGNOU official website (www.ignou.ac.in) for detailed information regarding programmes, eligibility, and the admission process. They may also contact the IGNOU Regional Centre Shillong or the nearest IGNOU Study Centre for guidance and assistance, a press release said.
