Shillong, Dec 15: The Joint Directorate of Health Services hosted its first awards function on December 9, a delayed press release informed today.
Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla was present along with senior health officials, all Directors of Health Services from the three Directorates, senior State and District Health Officials, Joint Directors, State Nodal Officers, Medical Superintendents, Medical Officers, Programme Consultants and Managers and staff from the Health Department, National Health Mission, etc.
The programme highlighted both achievement and aspiration, honouring 15 NQAS-certified health facilities for upholding high standards of quality care. In addition, five special awards were presented for outstanding accomplishments under LaQshya, MusQan, and NABL Certification, recognising excellence in maternal care, child-friendly services, and laboratory quality systems.
In his address, Shylla commended the extraordinary commitment of healthcare teams across Meghalaya.
