Shillong, Nov 28: Shillong will host three matches of the preliminary round of the Senior Men’s National Football Championship for the Santosh Trophy 2025-26 in Shillong next month.
Group E will comprise hosts Meghalaya, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. The matches will be played at the SSA Stadium before Christmas.
Only the winners of the nine groups will progress to the final round along with 2024-25 champions West Bengal, runners-up Kerala and final round hosts Assam, who have all received direct entry.
Meghalaya will play Sikkim on December 19 and Arunachal on December 23. Sikkim and Arunachal will face each other on December 21. The timings have yet to be announced by the Meghalaya Football Association.
Meghalaya reached the quarterfinals of the final round in 2024-25, losing to Services in the last-eight.
