Shillong, Nov 21: Educators from Meghalaya and Assam explored modern, tech-inclusive ideas for stronger environmental learning yesterday at the WWF-India Educators’ Conclave in Guwahati.
The event brought together 106 educators from 56 schools across Assam and Meghalaya.
The event offered teachers new resources, practical activities and inspiration to help students learn about the environment in clear and meaningful ways, a press release stated today.
Across the country, teachers are guiding students to understand a world that is changing faster than ever. Environmental issues now touch everyday life, appearing in the news, in conversations and in students’ own experiences.
A special highlight of the conclave was the launch of the One Planet Academy Awards, which will recognise outstanding efforts by schools and teachers in promoting environmental learning and sustainability.
The conclave drew to a close with a session for feedback and reflections, where educators reviewed key insights and shared how they would bring new approaches into their schools.
