Shillong, Oct 3: The South West Garo Hills Under-12 Grassroot Football Tournament 2025 concluded on Thursday at Ampati.
Conducted by the South West Garo Hills District Sports Office the tourney was participated by altogether 24 teams from the grassroot centres across the district, including 12 in boys’ category and 12 in girls’ category.
Zikzak Grassroot Centre emerged the champions among the boys’ teams, while Betasing Grassroot Centre bagged the runners-up spot.
From the girls’ teams, Babelapara Grassroot Centre emerged the champions with Betasing Grassroot Centre being the runners-up.
Brendo Aga D Sangma from the boys’ teams and Radime G Momin from the girls were adjudged the best players, respectively.
During the closing ceremony District Sports Officer S M Marak gave away certificates and prizes to the champions and runner ups of the tournament.
