Shillong, Sep 30: The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier was awarded with the ‘Rajbhasha Shield 2024-25’ for securing the second position in outstanding work in Hindi.
The award was presented by BSF Director General Daljit Singh Chaudhary which was received by Inspector General OP Upadhyay.
Meghalaya Frontier has consistently remained at the forefront of promoting and developing Hindi under the leadership of Upadhyay by regularly organising competitions, seminars, and training programs to enhance skills and confidence of BSF personnel.
“The extensive use of Hindi in official work strengthens our cultural identity,” Chaudhary remarked and called upon all officers and personnel to make Hindi an inseparable part of their daily official functions.
