Shillong, Sep 26: To ensure smooth supply of 14.2kg LPG cylinders to domestic households, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply) of East Khasi Hills has directed all commercial establishments (hotels/restaurants/dhaba/canteens/roadside street vendors etc) in the district to use commercial LPG cylinders (5 kg/19kg/47.5 kg) only.
Use of domestic LPG cylinders in commercial establishments is a violation of Clause 3(C) & 7(C) of LPG (Regulation of Supply & Distribution) Order 2000. Hence, if found, action will be initiated as per the provision of the law.
