The valedictory function of the five-day ‘4th State Plasma Exhibition’, organised by Sankardev College, in collaboration with the Institute of Plasma Research under the central government’s Department of Atomic Energy, was held here today.
Chief Secretary Donald P Wahlang was the chief guest. In his address, he said that the event generated a lot of interest in science, particularly plasma science.
AV Ravi Kumar, scientific officer and Head of the Outreach Division of the IPR, gave an overview about the exhibition.
The five-day event saw the participation of around 1,500 students from different schools, colleges, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), National Institute of Technology (NIT) and research scholars.
