Three persons including a woman were arrested for escaping from a petrol pump in their car without paying money for the fuel refilled.
The incident reportedly occurred at a petrol refill station in 10th Mile area under Khanapara police station.
According to the employees of the petrol pump, the trio had travelled in a car bearing registration number AS-01AJ-1610. They had asked for a refill and the amount payable was Rs 3000 but fled without paying the bill.
The employees chased the car and were able to stop it at Nine Mile area and handed them over to the police.
Employees stated that the three persons are habitual offenders and had managed to flee without paying for fuel on three occasions.
A FIR has been lodged against the trio and investigation is on.
