Three cows were stolen from a cow shed at Mawranglang village in South West Khasi Hills, police said today.
The cattle belonged to one Shngainbor Wanniang.
According to police, unknown miscreants had stolen the cows of Wanniang on May 23 at around 1 am.
As per the FIR lodged by the farmer, the cows were worth Rs 80,000.
A case has been registered and investigation has been launched by the police.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that a similar incident took place in the village where six cows were stolen by miscreants after breaking the lock of the cow shed.
