The West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday declared 2nd MLP Battalion Goeragre as a containment zone after Covid-19 positive cases were detected.
The order restrict unregulated entry and exit movement in the affected areas which require aggressive contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of health of general public against possible spread of Covid-19.
West Garo Hills has total COVID-19 active cases: 174. Today 25 new caseshas been reported which include 19 from ISBT ( 2nd MLP, returnees and contacts), 1 from Tura Christian (Antigen), 3 from Tura Civil ( Antigen) and 2 from Tikrikilla PS ( Antigen, police staff contacts).
