Twenty-four kickboxers from the Meghalaya State Kickboxing Association are taking part in the ongoing WAKO India National Kickboxing Championship 2022, which will conclude tomorrow.
The Chennai event began on August 18 and is open to men and women. There are eight female kickboxers in Meghalaya’s team of 24.
The state’s representatives come from all over Meghalaya – Garo Hills, Ri-Bhoi, West Jaintia Hills, Eastern West Hills District, South West Khasi Hills and East Khasi Hills.
The contingent is led by Nathaniel Kurkalang and Shaiborlang Lyngdoh as manager and coach respectively.
