Personnel of the 193 Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya nabbed two Indian women with 90,000 Bangladeshi taka while entering Indian territory illegally.
The two were identified by the BSF as Primala Hajong and Rimi Bhadra, residents of Betgora in East Khasi Hills.
During questioning, both revealed that they entered Bangladesh through an unfenced section of the border and received taka from a prominent Bangladeshi smuggler named Hamid.
The seized Bangladeshi currency and apprehended duo were handed over to police in Dangar for further investigation and legal action.
