In a significant border security operation, BSF personnel apprehended two Bangladeshi nationals, Mehtab Udding (42) and Ziaur Rahman (34), attempting to enter India illegally from Bangladesh without valid documents.
The incident occurred on July 1 in the Dawki area of West Jaintia Hills district.
During the apprehension, BSF personnel recovered a UK passport from the possession of the Bangladeshi nationals.
A complaint has been lodged by the Company Commander, BSF, Border Outpost Dawki, and further investigation is underway.
