Shillong, Oct 7: A 17-year-old boy died after reportedly falling from a four-storied under-construction building in Khliehrymphum, Ladthadlaboh, adjacent to the Jowai Polytechnic today.
The boy, a resident of Iooksi Priang village, was staying in a rented house in Memory Colony, Jowai. According to reports, he left his home yesterday. When he failed to return, his roommate conducted a search only to find his body at around 3 am.
Police said it is too early to conclude whether the boy’s death was an accident or suicide. His bag was recovered from the site.
The Crime scene unit team has collected evidence and investigation is on.
