In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise department staff of East Khasi Hills District conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where 12 cases were uncovered in April.
61.400 litres of indigenous liquor and 1.700 litres IMFL were seized. In this connection, 10 persons have been arrested under the Excise Act, a press release informed today.
