Jowai, Aug 19: The PM Shri School Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in West Jaintia Hills conducted the 27th Vidyalaya Level Youth Parliament Program (Vidyalaya Level) with an enthusiastic participation of students and staff.
The event aimed at nurturing democratic values, parliamentary etiquette, and leadership skills among students.
The mock session witnessed spirited debates on current national issues, demonstrating the students’ deep understanding of democratic processes and their ability to articulate diverse viewpoints respectfully and responsibly.
Jowai MLA Wailadmiki Shylla, who attended the programme, commended the efforts of the institution in fostering political awareness and civic responsibility among students. He encouraged the youth to be active participants in the democratic process and to always uphold the values enshrined in the Constitution of India.
Rotary Club Jowai Vice President SK Lato and Dr. R. K. Saini, Principal, JNV East Jaintia Hills praised the students for their confident and articulate performance during the mock parliamentary session and emphasized the importance of such platforms in shaping future leaders.
