Shillong, Nov 30: An adolescent boy was crushed under the wheels of a bus at Lower Puksora, under Ranikor Police Station, yesterday morning.
Police were informed at around 11:45am that an accident had occurred at Lower Puksora where one Eveningstar P Marak, aged 12 or 13, fell from a bus and was run over by the rear wheels of the same vehicle.
Police found out that the boy was standing on the footboard of the bus and was holding on with just one hand. He lost his balance at the time of the accident and was run over by the rear left tyre. An inquest was conducted and the bus was seized by police, with further investigations ongoing.
