A five-day national young professional development programme on “New Competencies, Career Opportunities and Research Priorities in Agricultural Extension” was inaugurated today at the College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences (CPGS-AS), Umiam.
Fifty three participants from across the country are taking part in the programme that will focus on advanced extension research methodologies, emerging research priorities, new competencies, career opportunities, and evening-for-learning (e4l) webinars in agricultural extension.
(Agricultural Extension) MANAGE, Hyderabad Director, Dr. Saravanan Raj in his presidential address emphasised the efforts of the MANAGE-University Alliance for Advancing Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services, in collaboration with other partners, who have been dedicatedly organizing a series of capacity-building programs since 2018.
Dean In-Charge Prof. Noren Singh urged the participants to utilise the opportunity to acquire new competencies, explore career opportunities, and gain insights into the latest research priorities in agricultural extension.
The various activities conducted by MANAGE and CPGS-AS were showcased through a video during the event.
