The Department of Anatomy at NEIGRIHMS yesterday organized World Anatomy Day to commemorate the contributions of Andreas Vesalius, the father of modern anatomy.
Based on the theme ‘Anatomy in Motion – Art & Anatomy’, a body painting as well as poster competition was held for students.
Young participants eagerly showcased their artistic talents portraying body organs and other structures in the body painting competition.
The session provided an opportunity for the students to deepen their understanding of human anatomy and link the topographical anatomy with clinical practice. The topic of the poster competition was ‘Anatomy in Clinical Practice’, which demonstrated the participants’ rich vein of talent in conveying the theme effectively.
The program was graced by Dr Nalin Mehta, Director of NEIGRIHMS, with Dr C Daniela, Medical Superintendent of NEIGRIHMS.
