The Anti-Narcotics Task Forces (ANTF) in East Khasi Hills tracked down and arrested a drug supplier from a house at Madanriting Thembasuk Block F in Shillong.
Superintendent of Police (city) Vivek Syiem said police had arrested one Shaniah Kharmawphlang and his accomplice, Daniel Nongrum from Jingkieng Demthring and recovered 559 grams of heroin packed in 40 soap cases inside an Eco Sport vehicle bearing registration number, ML05 U 1782 yesterday evening. The pulsar bike of Nongrum ML 05 S 9546 was also seized.
During interrogation, the supplier was ascertained identified as a 37-year old woman, Esther Ramhmangaih.
During the search, police seized cash and also arrested two couriers from her house and seized a Mahindra Bolero AS03 M 9080 with RS 2,19,510 cash in it and one Suzuki Burgman scooty ML05W 9432.
The arrested courier were identified as Robinson Hmar of Bawngkawn Aizawl and Letminlen Doungel of Tuibong, Churachandpur Manipur.
