Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic students in Meghalaya are having to attend virtual classes and some are even sitting for their college exams online, but those in western parts of Ri-Bhoi are facing grave difficulties because of the appalling electricity situation of late.
The Confederation of Ri Bhoi People (CoRP) today condemned frequent power cuts in the area. The pressure group said that the people around Jirang have had to undergo three days’ of power outages this week alone.
CoRP demanded that Power Minister James Sangma sort out the issue at the earliest.
