MCS officer PD Sangma has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of West Khasi Hills in place of the incumbent, Tableland Lyngwa.
Sangma is currently the Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district.
Meanwhile, Lyngwa has been appointed as Secretary in the Community and Rural Development Department.
Lyngwa, who was nominated to the IAS from the state civil service, has served as DC of West Khasi Hills since 2018.
