Shillong, Sep 14: Orange weather alerts will remain in place on Monday for three districts of Meghalaya.
East Khasi Hills, West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills are the districts that will be under an orange alert. All nine other districts will be under a lower yellow alert, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The precipitation is expected to reduce from Tuesday but weather forecasts are fluid, however, and the IMD may change its advice when it issues a new update tomorrow.
